Welcome to 2007
So here we are in a brand new year. It always makes me think of the year before, where we've been, what we've accomplished...all in all, 2006 was a very memorable year.
We started off by spending a fantastic week in Varadero, Cuba.

There's something about that country, that makes you want to stay for another week, and another, and another....it's that pure, simple way of life, the sites of breathtaking, undisturbed nature, and the vibrant people, who seem to somehow manage to get by without cell phones, computers, or credit cards. Before Cuba, I'd never seen a tourguide bust a move on the tour bus, not to entertain us, but simply because his favourite song came on the radio. He taught us snokeling in the ocean, he took us for a boat ride to a small island where we did horseback riding, had a great BBQ lunch, then did some more snorkeling in an underground cave. It was an amazing adventure. I can't wait to visit Cuba again.
After that I spent the next few months preparing for our wedding. The month of May was the most hectic month of my life. Between last minute preparations and looking after our guests from Hungary, Pete and I had little time for each other. But still June 3rd, the big day came, and it was like a dream. My girls and I were taken to the church by a classy white limo, where my Dad (barely able to hold back the tears) walked me down the isle and gave my hand to the sweetest guy on Earth. We said our I do's then took the limo to the reception where we had our pictures taken. They turned out fantastic.

We had a great reception with a delicious five course dinner, touching, but funny speeches, then dance. My Maid of Honour, Rita and her husband, Krisz surprised us by performing a dance that was amazing. It was truly a dream wedding.
Our guests left a few days later, and we enjoyed another week of holidays together. Then before I knew it, christmas was around the corner. Decorating, making lists (checking them twice), shopping, wrapping, it was busy, busy, busy. Some stores were open 24/7, so I thought I'd take advantage of it, 2 days before christmas I went out to Wal Mart after midnight. Big mistake! It was madness! It was busier than a Saturday afternoon. Don't people sleep around here?
The night before christmas we went to my parents' house for the gift exhange, and a huge dinner, then christmas morning we drove over to Pete's family to celebrate with them as well.
Pete had a house party the next weekend, we watched UFC 66 (GO CHUCK!!!), we had some overnight guests as well. Then for new year's eve we went to a friend's house to party.
And here we are in 2007. New year, new hopes, new plans. No resolutions, though.
