It was a beautiful, sunny day last Saturday, so Mom and I went garage saling in the morning. I made a couple of great deals. One was a brand new, 6 quart slow cooker for Peter, that I got for only $15, the other was a little red wagon, that we'll use next summer to haul the baby around. It's in very good condition, it has great big tires that make for a smooth ride. New ones sell for about $200, I managed to talk the lady down to $25. Needless to say, that was a great start to the day, and it only got better when I arrived home. There was a party going on at our house.

A "Jack and Jill Baby Shower". Kelly and Dwayne had organized it all. There were about 20 to 25 people here, including our parents, friends, co-workers, and more family members. There was lots of food, pretty decorations, and a mountain of gifts. The guys spent the majority of the day sitting outside on the deck, while us, the girls played "baby shower" games inside. Kelly had great prizes for the winners, like Tim Horton's, Zehrs, and Giant Tiger gift certificates. After the games it was time for me to open presents. We got tons of beautiful baby girl clothes, hand-made blankets, hooded towels, a 3-way receiver, diapers, wipes, baby cleansers, a high chair, a car seat, etc, etc, etc. Peter and I were excited to receive so many items we still needed.

Later on a huge cake appeared out of nowhere, that said "Congratulations Peter and Viktoria", and it had a little baby on it as well. It was adorable. And tasty! I spent the remainder of the day sitting on the deck, chatting with our guests, and enjoying the sun. What a great day! Thank you so much Kelly and Dwayne!
