6 weeks old

Time flies! Christine will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. She's very close to being able to hold her head up. She's grown so much! In 2 weeks she'll go for a check-up where we'll find out how much weight she's gained. I bet she'll be about 11 or 12lbs. I'm getting used to the broken sleeps. She's up at least once or twice a night for feedings. She normally sleeps for 5 or 6 hours in a row, which is not bad for such a young baby. Sometimes Sarah gets up too and snuggles up beside me while I feed her sister. The sleeping arrangements are kind of awkward right now.
The crib is in our bedroom and Sarah spends most nights in our bed. Even though it's a king size bed, it's not big enough when Sarah's in it too. She tosses and turns and kicks all night. I'm used to it but unfortunately Peter usually ends up sleeping in Sarah's bed. He needs his rest, he works long days with dumb people.
Breastfeeding is still going well. We've introduced the bottle about a week ago and she took to it right away. I'm so happy, this way I can get away for a while if I need to. Last Saturday mom and I went garage saling for the first time this year. It was so nice and relaxing. (And quiet!)
Sarah and I have started taking swimming lessons. She absolutely loves it! We're in a class with about 10 other kids her age. There's a small slide that runs into the water, that's her favourite! I can't keep her away from it. She has so much fun each week, she doesn't want to leave. We're going to keep taking lessons until she learns how to swim, then she can go by herself and I'll go with Christine. There's a big window on one side of the pool where family members can watch. Peter's mom has showed up a few times to see Sarah in the pool. I also take her to school once a week so she can play and socialize with other kids. The weather is finally starting to warm up. I can't wait to take the kids outside. We got a really nice double stroller for our co-workers. It's time to put it to use!
